The texture should distribute easily without excessive drag, uncomfortable residue or uneven drying. Lotions, creams, sprays and oils serve different needs. Format affects dose, speed of application and film uniformity.
Protection, film and resistance
If the brief requires water or sweat resistance, the film-forming system and test protocol should be defined from the outset. The claim can only be confirmed with the corresponding evidence on the final formula.
Packaging for body formats
Pumps, sprays, tubes and bottles require checks for flow rate, sealing, priming, evacuation and compatibility. Viscosity should remain within the functional range throughout the intended shelf life and transport conditions.
Industrial scale-up of dispersions and emulsions
Addition order, temperature, mixing speed, vacuum and homogenisation can alter filter distribution and emulsion structure. A pilot batch establishes critical parameters before production.
